Testimony Story: God Shall Supply All Your Need

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 KJV

While handing out tracts today at Dundas, a non-believer friend of mine who I’ve known for about 5 years came up to me and suggested we go for a walk to a shoe store.

When we got to the store he said,

“You have a budget of $200 plus tax.”

Just to give  some background  to this testimony, I was in need of a new pair of winter boots. My old pair of boots had begun to rip on the sides and the front was opening up. If the boots had gotten in worse condition, I would have had holy footwear!

This friend and I were talking about boots about 2-3 weeks ago. I had no idea  what the Lord was about to do.

So, I noticed a nice black pair of Sorel boots and decided that it would be perfect  for the winter. While trying them on, my friend brought me a pair of tanned Sketcher boots that also looked good!

What to do now?

My friend told me the Sorel boots are good for really cold days but that I need boots that are more causal for cooler temperatures.

He said to take both pairs! Who am I to argue when the Lord is blessing?

While talking  to the store employee, I was looking at a pair of winter gloves, just curious to see if they were warm.

Guess what?

The friend says try  them on and asked me if they fit.

I said yes and he said, “Throw them in with the boots.”

I walked out of the store with new gloves and two new pairs of boots. Grand total of today’s blessings: $333.35.

While the material blessings are certainly appreciated and received with a grateful heart, just knowing that the Lord is paying such close attention to our lives, and that he wants to be involved in every area of our lives, if we allow him, is truly mind boggling.

Trust the Lord to meet all your needs. He’s  a good father who lavishly blesses his children. Simply have faith. Whether your needs are small or large, nothing is too hard for God to do. With God all things are possible.

The Lord is active in your lives. Take the time to observe  what he is doing.

Be blessed,

Paul
